Originally from Toronto, Instruments: Lead Vocals, Keyboard, Button Accordion, Tin Whistle and Guitar Wanda came from a musical family, where singing and playing instruments was an important part of family celebrations and driving the neighours crazy. She studied classical piano for 13 years, then took a job as church organist and choir director in the United Church of Canada, where she finally learned to play music. Wanda’s main musical influences range from classical to gospel, and traditional east-coast music. The musicians who influenced her over the years are Sarah Mclachlan, Leonard Cohen, Harry Hibbs, Sting and Bono. If Wanda has any goals, the main one is to learn to play
blues piano and guitar. Beyond that, she hopes to develop enough of a sense of rhythm to some day play
the drums. Oh, and to be able to play the accordion after one glass of wine. Click here for Susan Luke's bio. |
